About this flight
I flew business class on TAP Air Portugal from Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, to Florence, Italy.
The flight time was approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes.
It was an early morning flight, departing at 7:05 AM. The TAP Air Portugal lounge was already open early, and I was able to enjoy breakfast there.
After arriving at the airport in Florence, I walked for about an hour to the city center where my hotel was located. I was greeted by the medieval three-arched stone bridge, the Ponte Vecchio.

Business Class Cabin
This is the business class cabin. Since it’s a short-haul route, the seats may be the same as in economy class.

Parked next to us was a cargo aircraft from “Star Air,” a Danish cargo airline.

It’s rare to get a look at such facilities of a foreign airline.
TAAG Angola Airlines Aircraft
This is a Boeing 777-300 aircraft from TAAG Angola Airlines, used for long-haul flights.
We saw it parked at the apron from our window. Lisbon is apparently the only European destination for this airline.
(Editor’s Note)
Angola was a Portuguese colony until 1973. Portuguese remains the official language.
TAP Air Portugal – Old and New Liveries
Two TAP Air Portugal aircraft parked at the apron.
- Left aircraft: Current livery
- Right aircraft: Previous livery
