About this flight
This trip was to Kathmandu, Nepal, and I traveled there via Bangkok from Singapore.
This post covers my flight from Singapore to Bangkok on Thai Airways in Economy Class.
For the inflight meal, I requested a strict vegetarian option and was served a green pea masala curry — it was surprisingly delicious!

In-flight Meal (1)

This is the in-flight meal I received after boarding the flight.
For this flight, I pre-ordered a special Jain vegetarian meal, which is a strict vegetarian option that excludes meat, fish, eggs, dairy products, and root vegetables.
I placed this request in advance through Thai Airways’ booking management website before the flight.
In-flight Meal (2)

The main dish was an Indian-style curry, and it was absolutely delicious.
- • Green Pea Masala Curry
- • Paratha
- [Editor’s note: An unleavened flatbread cooked with Indian butter ghee. It has multiple flaky layers, giving it a crispy texture. In India, it’s actually more common than naan.]
- • Bread Roll
- • Fresh Fruit
- • Mineral Water
Approaching Bangkok

Just before landing in Bangkok, Thailand.
The landscape here looks quite different from what you typically see in Japan.
