About this Stay

I joined a tour to visit Huis Ten Bosch, a theme park in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture. For accommodation, I stayed at Hotel Nikko Huis Ten Bosch, located near the park.

The bus arrived in the middle of the night in front of the Huis Ten Bosch Welcome Gate, so we went in briefly just to check the location of the ticket counter before heading to the hotel to check in.

Breakfast was served at the hotel restaurant in buffet style. There was a wide variety of dishes, including Nagasaki’s local specialty sara udon, dishes made with broth from flying fish (called “ago” in Nagasaki), whale dishes, as well as Japanese-style pasta and egg dishes.
