About this flight
Asiana Airlines is one of the few airlines in the world that still operates the Boeing 747 jumbo jet.
They continue to fly this iconic aircraft by rotating it across different routes every few months. In July 2023, it was announced that the 747 would be operating on the Narita route, so I made a reservation and flew Business Class to Incheon, South Korea. My seat was in the Royal Business Class section on the lower deck.
I arrived early at Narita and spent a few hours before boarding in ANA’s Suite Lounge, which Asiana Airlines partners with.
It was a nostalgic and special experience to once again fly on a jumbo jet and enjoy the comfort of the spacious Royal Business Class seat.

View of the Jumbo Jet
This is the Boeing 747 jumbo jet I’ll be boarding. Seeing this aircraft brings back memories and a sense of nostalgia.
There are now very few airlines operating the Boeing 747, so it’s becoming a rare sight. It seems Asiana Airlines still plans to fly it on various routes through the rest of the year and into the next.
