About this flight
At Itami Airport, I enjoyed rice balls and curry bread in the lounge.
The flight time to Haneda was about 45 minutes. Due to weather conditions, turbulence was expected even before departure, and after reaching cruising altitude, the seatbelt sign was announced to remain off for only a few minutes. As a result, the First Class dinner was served and eaten rather quickly. The cabin crew apologized, saying, “We are sorry you won’t have much time to enjoy, but please finish your meal promptly once it is served.”
Although the meal was rushed, the Western-style dinner—with appetizer, main course, and dessert—was of high quality and very delicious.

In-flight Meal
The quality of each dish was exceptionally high.
- (Appetizer) Smoked Spanish mackerel, eggplant tartar, marinated scallops, pickled vegetables
- (Main) Pork marinated in tomato koji, carrot butter rice
- The pork, tender and flavorful from the koji, was served on butter rice with grain mustard sauce, giving it a very refined taste.
- (Dessert) Kaga roasted green tea–flavored custard pudding
Two Glasses of Champagne Ordered
I had two glasses of champagne with the meal. Since the flight time was short, ordering multiple times would have taken too long, so I ordered two at once.
Champagne
This is the bottle of champagne: “Joseph Perrier.” It is a Royal Warrant holder and was served at Prince William and Catherine’s wedding reception in 2011.
Champagne and Snack
After the meal, I enjoyed a snack with champagne.
The flight time passed quickly—it felt like we had already arrived by the time I finished the snack.
