>ANA In-Flight Meal & Cabin Tour Event “Restaurant FLYING HONU” First Class
In April 2022, I participated in ANA’s in-flight meal and cabin tour event held at Narita Airport, which started in May 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic to let people experience the feeling of traveling again.
For this event, ANA used its three Airbus A380 aircraft originally introduced for the Honolulu route—one aircraft served as a restaurant offering in-flight meals, while another was open for cabin tours. Each of the three aircraft features a special livery of sea turtles in different colors. The name of the restaurant, “FLYING HONU,” comes from the Hawaiian word “Honu,” meaning “sea turtle.”
The in-flight meal was the First Class menu, including amuse-bouche, appetizer, main steak dish, bread, and dessert—each dish was exquisite and delicious.

We took a bus from the terminal to the aircraft used for the in-flight meal restaurant and cabin tour.
Here we are approaching the aircraft. It’s ANA’s Airbus A380. The one in the front is the second aircraft in emerald green, and the one behind it is the third aircraft in orange.

Explanation by the Pilot
I entered the No. 2 Airbus A380 aircraft used for the cabin tour.
The pilot gave an interactive explanation about flight operations using the cabin’s screen in a quiz format.
Economy Class Seats (1)
These are the front-row Economy Class seats on the first floor.
The headrests are the same type used in Premium Economy, adjustable vertically and laterally for comfort.
Economy Class Seats (2)
The entire first floor is Economy Class, arranged 3-4-3 with two aisles. The window seats are light gray, and the middle section is a darker blue. This color scheme makes the cabin feel more spacious.
The seat pitch is 86 cm, providing generous legroom.
Couch Seats
The rearmost rows (71–76) in Economy Class are equipped with couch seats.
The leg rests can be raised to seat level, allowing children to lie down comfortably. Even adults can recline flat by using multiple seats together.
Bedding includes First Class sheets and Business Class pillows.
Economy Class Seat
Each Economy Class seat has a 13.3-inch (about 34 cm) personal screen—quite large for this class.

The screens measure 18 inches (about 46 cm).
