About this flight
This is a trip to the resort destination of the Maldives.
To get to the Maldives, I flew from Singapore via Colombo, Sri Lanka, which is located southeast of India, transferring flights to reach the Maldives.
This blog covers the first leg of the journey, flying from Singapore to Colombo Airport in SriLankan Airlines business class.
After arriving at Colombo Airport, I rested in the lounge.

This is the business class seat I sat in today. Since this was a small aircraft, the seat did not convert into a bed, but it was a standard large business class seat.

Aperitif
This is the champagne aperitif I received after takeoff.

Along with the aperitif, I was served some nuts.
Main Course
The meal included the following:

Pomegranate isn't often used in Japanese cuisine, but it's fairly common in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. - • Lamb steak entrée

Steak
The main dish was lamb steak.

Dessert
This is the rice pudding I was served after the meal.
The topping is chopped pistachios. The yellow part underneath is butter.

This is the wine, tea, and dessert I enjoyed afterward. Ceylon is famous for its tea, after all.
