About this flight
On March 31, 2022, the flight from New Chitose Airport to Haneda Airport marked the final flight of ANA’s Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in Star Wars special livery.
Due to the significant reduction in flights caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a large surplus of aircraft, and for business reasons, ANA decided to retire some of the unused planes.
Since 2015, ANA had been operating its Star Wars Project, featuring three aircraft types with special Star Wars liveries: the Boeing 777-200, 777-300, and 787-9. Among these, the 777-300ER with the special livery took its final flight on this occasion.
I captured photos of the aircraft before takeoff.
Inside the cabin, various decorations were arranged to commemorate and bid farewell to this special flight.
