Roissypôle
This is Roissypôle, an area located in the center of Charles de Gaulle Airport, where hotels and other facilities are concentrated. The airport’s three terminals are each located some distance apart. Roissypôle also has a train station that connects to each terminal.
On the night before my flight from Paris to Haneda, I stayed at a hotel in Roissypôle.
Stroll from the Hotel in Roissypôle
I took a walk from my hotel in Roissypôle toward Charles de Gaulle Airport.

Check-in Counter
This is the check-in counter at Charles de Gaulle Airport Terminal 2 in Paris.
Originally, ANA had always used Terminal 1, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Terminal 1 was completely closed, and from August 2020 ANA temporarily used Terminal 2E.
(As of January 3, 2023, operations have returned to Terminal 1.)

This is the elevator to the boarding gate.
At that time, lounges were not available in Terminal 2. Therefore, as an apology for the inconvenience, ANA provided each passenger with €20 in cash.

Seating Area at the Boarding Gate
This is the seating area at the boarding gate.
Since lounges were unavailable, I waited here until boarding time.
Cat Sculpture (1)
While walking around the gate area, I came across a sculpture of a sleeping cat. Above it floated white balloons, seemingly representing clouds.
Cat Sculpture (2)
The cat was peacefully sleeping on what looked like a soft cushion.

Boarding Gate
Passing through the gate, it was finally time to board.
In-flight Seat

Business Class Seat
This is an ANA Business Class seat. Some of the Business Class seats come with side tables on both sides, and I chose one of those seats for this flight.
I really like this type of seat because it provides a generous amount of space.
Seat Behind Mine
This is the seat located behind mine. Unlike my seat, this one doesn’t have side tables on both sides; instead, it comes with a longer, narrow side table.
Business Class Cabin
This is the view of the Business Class cabin from my seat.
It feels quite private, providing a strong sense of personal space.
Welcome Drink
The sparkling wine I received as a welcome drink.
The toothbrush and face & body wipes were amenities provided in the restroom.
