About this flight
I flew Japan Airlines First Class from Haneda to Fukuoka.
I spent the time before boarding at the JAL Premium Lounge. On the tarmac, there was also a special livery aircraft called the “JAL Arashi Jet,” featuring illustrations of the members of the group Arashi, which was in operation at that time.
The in-flight meal was a delicious Japanese-style menu centered around grilled salmon.

JAL Arashi Jet
Japan Airlines appointed the group “Arashi” as domestic CM characters and operated the “JAL Arashi Jet” featuring illustrations of the members’ faces starting in September 2010. The sixth version, the “20th ARASHI THANKS JET,” commemorating Arashi’s 20th anniversary, entered service in November 2019.
Following the announcement of Arashi’s activity hiatus, the aircraft was retired in April 2021. Looking back, this photo is now quite a rare sight.
