Seating Area
This is Cathay Pacific’s First Class Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport. As a Oneworld Emerald member, I can access Cathay Pacific’s First Class Lounge in Hong Kong. This is the seating area of the First Class lounge called The Pier.
Champagne
I enjoyed a glass of champagne at the bar counter in Cathay Pacific’s First Class Lounge, The Pier.
Dining Area
I moved to the dining area of The Pier First Class Lounge to have a meal.
Appetizer Salad
This is the salad I had as an appetizer. It was quite luxurious, containing Chinese-style jellyfish, salmon, and squid.
Hamburger
This was the hamburger I had as my main dish.
Chocolate Cake
This is the chocolate cake I had for dessert.
After-Meal Treats
These were the treats I enjoyed after the meal.

Decorations
This is a corner of the lounge where decorative ornaments are displayed.
The Wing

Seating Area
I moved to The Wing, another Cathay Pacific First Class Lounge. This is the seating area inside The Wing. There are stylish circular seats near the front, and the entire space feels very sophisticated.
Marble Table
This is the long marble table inside The Wing. It seats about fifteen people.
During the day, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the apron from this table.
Champagne Bar
This is the Champagne Bar inside The Wing First Class Lounge. It’s one of the most luxurious spots within Cathay Pacific’s First Class lounges.
Shower Room – Cabana
The Wing First Class Lounge features a shower room called a “Cabana,” which includes a private bath.
I brought two glasses of rosé champagne here from the Champagne Bar.
Bathtub
This is when the bathtub was being filled with hot water.
Champagne Beside the Bathtub
Once the bathtub was full, I placed the rosé champagne on the ledge at the far end of the spacious tub.
Post-Bath Champagne
After relaxing in the bathtub inside the Cabana, I returned to the seating area of the lounge and enjoyed another glass of champagne along with some sparkling water.
Lunch
This was the meal I brought from the food corner for lunch.
- (Right plate) Ham, cheese, tomato, etc.
- (Left plate) Eggplant, shumai, gyoza, etc.
More Lunch Dishes
These were the dishes I had following lunch.
- • Chicken and bok choy soup
- • Dandan noodles
Overlooking the Apron
While seated at the long marble table, I enjoyed these items while gazing out over the apron.
- • Macarons, cheese, cake, etc.

To The Pier
It takes about 15 minutes to walk from The Wing to The Pier, so I decided to get a bit of exercise and walk between the lounges.
ANA Flight to Nagoya
While walking through the airport, I spotted an ANA aircraft and took a photo. At that time, ANA operated a route from Hong Kong to Chubu Centrair International Airport in Nagoya. This was the plane bound for Nagoya.
The Pier
I returned once again to The Pier lounge. I had a banana smoothie while enjoying some macarons. One reason I decided to move between the lounges was that I wanted to see the private room area inside The Pier.
Private Room Area
I lay down and rested for a while in one of the private rooms.
To the Boarding Gate
After relaxing in the space where I could lie down, it was getting close to boarding time, so I headed toward the boarding gate.

Economy Class Cabin
This is the view of the Economy Class cabin at the time of boarding.
Economy Class Seat
This is the Economy Class seat. JAL’s Economy Class seats have a pitch of 86 cm, making them among the most spacious in the world.
In-flight Meal
When departing from Hong Kong, the in-flight meal is a well-prepared full meal.
- • (Main) Teriyaki chicken with green beans, shiitake mushrooms, and rice topped with salmon flakes
- • Soba noodles
- • Coleslaw salad, cut fruit
- • Haagen-Dazs ice cream
Haneda Airport

Arrival Information Board
We arrived safely at Haneda Airport. This is the arrival information board in the arrival lobby.
The Qantas Airways flight to Sydney, which was scheduled to arrive at 5:00 a.m., actually arrived at 9:43 p.m.
