Chinese Dishes and Fruits

Here is the meal I had after taking a break at the Singapore Airlines First Class Lounge in Terminal 2, where my flight to Jakarta was departing.

A slightly spicy dish of meat, fish, and vegetables with papaya and watermelon is on the plate.

Garden

I reached out to the entrance of the boarding gate.

This is the baggage checkpoint. At Changi Airport, there is a security checkpoint at each boarding gate.

First Class Seat

It is a light-colored wood-grained seat.

There is a space behind the second row of the first class. It is a roomy space.

Welcome Drink

I received a glass of champagne as a welcome drink. Headsets and a menu card for today's flight are placed on the front table.

A large screen. The black case on the right-hand side contains a pair of headsets.

Headsets

Headsets are made by Ben ＆ Olufsen of Denmark.

View after Takeoff

Here is the view outside just after takeoff.

Singapore is a country that has grown up as a trade hub, so I think there must be many container ships of all nationalities coming and going.

View of Clouds

Here is a picture of clouds. These are the cumulonimbus clouds that we often see in Southeast Asia. When I fly, I often see these rising clouds. This is what causes heavy rain squalls.

Bread, coffee and tea

The flight is about an hour and 15 minutes away, so that's about it.

Bread

I was served garlic bread and grissini on a large square of papad (a skinny cracker eaten in India and South Asia). The small bottle is olive oil.

Main Dish

Here is the main course. I ordered filet mignon steak and mashed potatoes by using the "Book the Cook" in-flight pre-order service instead of selecting from the menu card.
